HydraFacial – Pre & Post Care Instructions

For the best results and to protect your skin, please follow these pre-care instructions:

Discontinue isotretinoin products (such as Accutane) for at least 6 months before treatment unless approved by your medical provider.
Stop using Retin-A, tretinoin, or similar topical treatments at least 48 hours before your appointment.
Avoid exfoliating treatments (scrubs, glycolic acid, enzyme peels) on the treatment area 48 hours prior to your HydraFacial.
Refrain from waxing the treatment area 48 hours before your session.
Minimize sun exposure: Avoid tanning beds, spray tans, and self-tanning lotions for at least one week prior to treatment.
Pause any medium-to-deep chemical resurfacing or laser treatments for two weeks before undergoing HydraFacial.
Botox and fillers: Wait one week after Botox and two weeks after dermal fillers before scheduling your HydraFacial. However, Botox and fillers can be done on the same day but must be administered after your HydraFacial, not before.
For men: Shaving on the day of treatment is not recommended. If necessary, shave at least 3-4 hours before your appointment.

To maintain optimal results and support your skin’s healing process, follow these post-care instructions:

Avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 72 hours after your treatment.
Wait until the following morning to wash your face after a HydraFacial.
Apply a recommended SPF 30 or higher (tinted or non-tinted) for at least 3-5 days following treatment.
Refrain from using Retin-A, tretinoin, or other strong active ingredients for at least 48 hours post-treatment.
Minimize direct sun exposure for at least one week to protect your newly treated skin.
Do not pick, scratch, wax, thread, or tweeze the treated area for 3-5 days to prevent irritation.
Avoid heat exposure for 24 hours, including:
Hot showers
Intense workouts
Saunas or steam rooms
If possible, go makeup-free for the rest of the day following your treatment.
Hold off on any harsh exfoliation or laser treatments for at least 48 hours post-HydraFacial.
