BOTOX®
Botox® has been used therapeutically for more than 17 years to treat a variety of medical conditions. It is approved in more than 75 countries and remains the most-studied botulinum toxin and one of the most widely researched medicines in the world. In 2002, the same formulation – under the label Botox® Cosmetic – was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for treatment of moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people ages 18 to 65.
During treatment, very low doses of Botox® Cosmetic are administered via a few tiny injections directly into the muscles responsible for frown lines between the brows. By blocking the release of a chemical that causes these muscles to contract, Botox® Cosmetic enables them to relax. The effects are very localized and, when administered by an experienced physician, do not affect your ability to smile, laugh, or otherwise show expression. Botox® Cosmetic is the only product of its kind that has been approved for use in this area.

- Marionette lines and jaw area to fill and contour

XEOMIN®
FDA Approved. Clinically Proven.
Xeomin® is a form of botulinum toxin that is used to block muscle movement in areas that contribute to wrinkles. It is typically used in the forehead, particularly between the brows, to soften frown lines.
Frown lines form when facial expressions are made as the muscle under the skin contracts. Over time, as your skin ages, these repeated expressions cause lasting frown lines and wrinkles. Xeomin® blocks the release of chemicals that cause these muscle contractions so frown lines are softened.
Unlike fillers, Xeomin® only impacts muscle movement and has no effect on filling deep wrinkles that have already formed.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are cosmetic injectables?
Cosmetic injectables are minimally invasive treatments delivered through fine needles to smooth lines, restore volume, and refresh the face. They include neuromodulators such as Botox and Xeomin, which relax expression muscles, and dermal fillers such as Juvederm, which add volume. Elite Medical Spa offers a full range of these treatments through its Elite Injectables menu.
What is the difference between Botox, Xeomin, and dermal fillers?
Botox and Xeomin are neuromodulators that temporarily relax the muscles responsible for lines that form with movement, such as frown lines and crow’s feet. Dermal fillers like Juvederm instead add volume to smooth deeper folds and enhance features like the lips and cheeks. Many patients use a combination, and your injector will recommend the right approach for your goals.
Which injectable treatments does Elite Medical Spa offer?
Elite Medical Spa offers neuromodulators including Botox and Xeomin, along with dermal fillers such as Juvederm and Radiesse. The Elite Injectables menu also includes targeted services for the lips, cheeks, jawline, chin, under eyes, and more, plus treatments like the Elite Liquid Facelift. Your provider will help build a plan suited to the areas you want to address.
Do injectable treatments hurt?
Most patients describe injectables as a quick, minor pinch, since the needles used are very fine. Any discomfort is usually brief and well tolerated, and numbing options can be offered for added comfort. Let your provider know if you feel anxious so they can help you feel at ease.
When will I see results from Botox or Xeomin?
Some patients notice softening within a few days, but it usually takes up to about two weeks for a neuromodulator to fully settle. For this reason, it is best to schedule treatment at least two weeks before a special event. Dermal filler results, by contrast, are often visible right away.
How long do injectable results last?
Neuromodulators like Botox and Xeomin generally last around three to four months, while dermal fillers can last from several months to over a year depending on the product and area treated. Results vary by individual, metabolism, and how much movement the treated area sees. Your provider can give you a more specific estimate at your visit.
Is there downtime after injectable treatments?
Injectable treatments typically involve little to no downtime, and most people return to their usual activities the same day. Minor redness, swelling, or small bumps at the injection sites are common and usually fade quickly. Your provider will share simple aftercare steps, such as avoiding vigorous exercise for a short period.
Can dermal filler results be reversed?
Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if an adjustment is needed. This gives your injector flexibility to refine or reverse results. Neuromodulators are not dissolved but gradually wear off on their own over a few months.
How do I know which injectable is right for me?
The best way to decide is through a consultation, where your provider reviews your goals, facial structure, and medical history. From there, they recommend the treatment or combination best suited to your concerns. This personalized approach helps support balanced, natural-looking results.
Who performs injectable treatments at Elite Medical Spa?
Injectables are performed by trained clinical providers, including owner and master injector Jeff Goldstein, PA-C, and Melanie Hartsell, APRN-C. The practice operates under the medical direction of a board-certified plastic surgeon. You can request a consultation to meet the team and discuss your goals.
